It's nice to work on especially with photoshop b ecause you are able to paint on one monitor and set all your panels on the second monitor.
I only switch on the second monitor if I really need it, like for painting or programming because it's a heavy dose of "radiation" - I got a headache today - and it's really some power wasting.

Try standing somewhat further from it. Or just get at least one LCD, they're pretty cheap nowadays, and they're great compared to the Tude O' Headache.
